Recipe ideas from our kitchen...
Spring Pesto: use 1 bag of the mix plus 2-4 Tablespoons of olive oil, 1/2 tsp of salt. Puree or pound out using a mortar and pestle. Taste and decide if you'd like to add black pepper, lemon juice, apple cider or rice wine vinegar, your favorite nuts and parmesan cheese. The options abound! Let us know if you need help with quantities on the add-on options. Here's some delicious ideas for how to use it.
- Dip for veggies or bread.
- Sandwich spread,
- Pasta sauce
- Sauce to top off your favorite protein (including your eggs!)
- Roasted veggie sauce, including and especially potatoes
- Dilute with more oil and vinegar and add herbs for a verdant salad dressing
