Limited quantity this week! Raab has a stem with small leaves and a cluster of mostly unopened flower buds on the top. Sold by the bunch, raab is the flowering stalk of plants in the brassica family. This week our raab bunches are from a variety of Asian greens.
It can be roasted, steamed, sauteed and grilled! Our favorite way is to toss in garlic salt and oil, then roast at 425 degrees for about 10 minutes, if you like a little char, cook about 3-5 minutes longer. The stem becomes tender and the flower head and leaves get charred and crunchy. SO GOOD!
